Half an hour’s drive from Berlin on the Alte Eichen peninsula, where Dorf Saarow once found its origins, lies an absolute dream property in direct waterfront location on the western shore of Scharmützelsee. The property with about 9000 m2 and Wilhelminian style villa, two beaches, panoramic view, lots of green is unique on the property market. Existing buildings, history and location inspire the CREST group of companies to a newly conceived, integrative residential model, and an architectural accent, which is so far unique on the lakeside of Bad Saarow.
In dialogue with the living concept of the existing villa, an individual idea for the new building was then developed in the architectural office of Axthelm+Rolvien. An addition to this ensemble of historic villa and property close to nature and water requires a new building that has the same quality, say the architects. They therefore set the rather introverted old building of the villa against a transparent, open new building with 24 apartments, which is deliberately something different but realized with the same perfection found in the old building.
Inside and outside should merge, the water of the lake can be experienced unfiltered in the interior spaces. For this reason, the new building design is characterized by floor-to-ceiling windows. In keeping with the spa, residents will also find a 17m infinity pool with an unobstructed view of Scharmützelsee, a communal sports area and 120 m² of roof terrace in the new building.
In the hands of the CREST group of companies, Alte Eichen 21 will become a place that caters to all generations. It will be a place of exchange, joint activity, and remains above all one thing: near-natural recreation.
