Brandenburger Platz 4, 03046 Cottbus

The building constructed in 1886 shows itself as a neo-classical architectural form, e.g. in the form of the pilaster arrangements on the 3rd floor and the strong window framing. It is one of the few preserved examples of the early stages of tenement constructions in Cottbus. Characteristic for the redevelopment of buildings was the complicated technology for the reconstruction and extension, as this residential building is located in the middle of a closed facade and the entrance to the necessary construction activities at the back facade was only possible by foot through the stairwell.
